Keywords: Arch of Hadrian
Caption: Arch of Hadrian. Eastern side. Detail of central bay in the attic. The two Corinthian columns project a slight distance forward, and support a triangular pediment. This gives the central bay the look of a small temple or shrine. In antiquity, this central bay would have been closed with slab (the upper portion is still preserved). View from the east. Photo taken January 30, 2000.
