Brauron. "Small Shrine" or "Heroon of Iphigeneia". The building measures about 9 by 6 meters and has two chambers (pronaos and cella) giving it the form of a small temple (or naiskos). This photo shows the northwest corner of the main chamber (cella). Beyond the back (eastern) wall you can also see the remains of some earlier walls within the collapsed cave. These early walls are thought to date from the 7th and 6th centuries B.C. View from the north. June 1, 2000.
