The Kerameikos. Grave precint along South Street. Inscriptions thell us that he first three graves are for Philoxenos and his sons, Dion and Parthenios, from Messene (southwestern Greece). These grave are of "trapeza"or "table"type. On top, each would have had a marble vessel called a loutrophoros. The relief in the background comes from another grave (of a woman whose name we do not know). View from the north.
