        <item>Update (or checkout a new copy) of the <soCalled>chetc-js</soCalled> module from CVS and verify that it works as expected for the
            purposes of the current release</item>
        <item>Using your CVS client, create a new tag in the repository corresponding to the current release (see <xref href="releasetagguide.xml">Release Tag Guide</xref> for policy on tag syntax)</item>
        <item>Export (not checkout or update) the <soCalled>chetc-js</soCalled> module from CVS, using the tag value you just created, into the root
            directory of a volume (this will create a <soCalled>chetc-js</soCalled> directory containing files and sub-directories)</item>
        <item>Create a zip file, being sure to include path information for subdirectories, with the following name style:
            <lb/>chetc-js-NEW-TAG-HERE.zip</item>
        <item>Upload the zip file to sourceforge: <list type="ordered">
                <item>Using an FTP client, connect to upload.sourceforge.net (username: anonymous; password: your email address) and then change directories to <soCalled>incoming</soCalled></item>
            <item>After setting the file transfer mode to <soCalled>binary</soCalled>, put the zip file only in the <soCalled>incoming directory</soCalled> and make a note of the filename, because you'll need it again later in the process</item>

        <item>Set up the release information on sourceforge: <list type="ordered">
                <item>Login to sourceforge and navigate to the <xref href="https://sourceforge.net/projects/epidoc/">EpiDoc project page</xref>
                </item>
                <item>Select the <soCalled>Admin</soCalled> link, then the <soCalled>File Releases</soCalled> link</item>
                <item>Scroll down the page to the <soCalled>File Release Packages</soCalled> list, and select therein the <soCalled>Add
                    Release</soCalled> link associated with the <soCalled>chetc-js</soCalled> package</item>
                <item>On the <soCalled>Create a File Release</soCalled> page, enter the appropriate release designation in the text box labeled
                        <soCalled>New release name</soCalled> (this will usually be the CVS tag value for the release, minus the leading
                    <soCalled>r-</soCalled>)</item>
                <item>Select the <soCalled>Create This Release</soCalled> button.</item>
                <item>On the resulting page, under the heading <soCalled>Step 1: Edit Existing Release</soCalled>:

                <item>Under the heading <soCalled>Step 2: Add Files To This Release</soCalled>:

                        <item>Select the zip file that you previously uploaded and select the <soCalled>Add Files and/or Refresh View</soCalled> button (if you do not see the zip file in the list, select the button to refresh the list)</item>

            <item>Under the heading <soCalled>Step 3:   Edit Files In This Release</soCalled>:

                    <item>Set the <soCalled>Processor</soCalled> combo box to read <soCalled>Platform-Independent</soCalled></item>
                    <item>Set the <soCalled>File Type</soCalled> combo box to read <soCalled>source .zip</soCalled></item>
                    <item>Leave the default settings for the <soCalled>Release</soCalled> combo box and <soCalled>Release Date</soCalled> text box</item>
                    <item>Select the <soCalled>Update/Refresh</soCalled> button</item>

            <item>Select the <soCalled>Files</soCalled> link to verify that the release package is now in place and publicly visible.</item>
