- Example 2 is the case of a restoration flagged as uncertain by the editor. Local preferences as to placement of the question mark may vary: the standard XSLTs replicate the most common practice, but this is easily customised by individual projects.
- Examples 3 and 4 are to demonstrate standard XSLT handling of partially restored lacunae, and supplements divided by embedded markup, respectively. This handling has been designed not to interfere with standard markup if these rules are not required.
