NOTE: In traditional typographic systems (unless a diplomatic text is employed), the notation concerning placement of the addition would have to come in the commentary. Note further that use of the 'place' attribute is not compulsory; it may well often be the case that the editor of an edition may not have access to the epigraphic matrix or to adequate notes for this purpose.
