apragmon, pl. apragmones (adj.); apragmosune (abstract noun) · Lit. “one who does not conduct business”: a person who refrains from taking part in public affairs. It can be either a positive or a negative characteristic, depending on the attitude of the speaker (“philosophical contemplation” or “political irresponsibility”). For the opposite characteristic, see sv. polupragmon.
