Greek Original:Ἀλέξανδρος ὁ Μιλήσιος: ὃς Πολυί̈στωρ ἐπεκλήθη καὶ Κορνήλιος, διότι Κορνηλίῳ Λεντούλῳ αἰχμαλωτισθεὶς ἐπράθη καὶ αὐτῷ παιδαγωγὸς ἐγένετο, εἶτα ἠλευθερώθη. ἦν δὲ ἐν Ῥώμῃ ἐπὶ τῶν Σύλλα χρόνων καὶ ἐπὶ τάδε. ἀνῃρέθη δὲ ἐν Λαυρενταῖς ὑπὸ πυρὸς τῆς οἰκίας φθαρείσης: καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ Ἑλένη μαθοῦσα τὸ συμβὰν ἀπήγξατο. ἦν δὲ γραμματικὸς τῶν Κράτητος μαθητῶν. οὗτος συνέγραψε βίβλους ἀριθμοῦ κρείττους. καὶ Περὶ Ῥώμης βιβλία ε#. ἐν τούτοις λέγει, ὡς γυνὴ γέγονεν Ἐβραία Μωσώ, ἧς ἐστι σύγγραμμα ὁ παρ' Ἐβραίοις νόμος.
