Headword: Ἀγέροπτος
Adler number: alpha,201
Translated headword: unseen(?)
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
One who comes infrequently.
Greek Original:
Ἀγέροπτος: ὁ σπανίως ἐρχόμενος.
Note:
A problematic entry. The headword itself is ἀγέροπτος in most Suda mss and also in Hesychius, but ἀγέροπος in ms T and also in ps.-Zonaras. (Both versions are otherwise unattested, and not in LSJ.) The glossing phrase is as translated above in the Suda and ps.-Zonaras but 'one who prays infrequently' (i.e. not ἐρχόμενος but εὐχόμενος , a difference of one letter) in Hesychius.
