Headword: Ἀνάστασις
Adler number: alpha,2079
Translated headword: resurrection
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
Since death came in violation of nature, but resurrection is according to nature. For the first-formed [man] was deathless before his transgression. The word is resurrection [anastasis] because the body, polluted by sin, is set straight through righteousness. For if Adam[1] had abided by the command, he would have kept on living. So resurrection then is the second state [stasis] and the end of the forbearance of God.
