ἀπεῖπον ), in the masculine accusative singular or neuter nominative/accusative plural, expressing purpose. It might be drawn from the first quotation given (where it is neuter plural), but it occurs also in
Thucydides 1.29.3 (where it is masculine accusative singular), and the
scholia there show resemblances with the glosses here.
