This is part of Nicolaus of Damascus FGrH 90 F135: the historian (nu 393) is contrasting himself with the mythological Heracles, whose labors were performed for king Eurystheus (epsilon 3732); Nicolaus boastfully suggests that his own labor, a 144-book universal history, would have been too great for Heracles.
