Ἀσαφείᾳ νυκτὸς ἀπολλύμενος: ὑπὸ σκοτεινοτάτης δηλαδὴ νυκτὸς, καθ' ἥν τίς τινα ἀναγνωρίσαι οὐ δύναται. ὅθεν καὶ τὸ, σελήνης τὸν ζόφον διασαφούσης. οὕτως γέγραπται ἐν τῷ μαρτυρίῳ τῶν ἁγίων δισμυρίων.
