The (unglossed) headword Akelimas is found only here. There was never, to my knowledge, such a name or word, and the ending in -mas with a circumflex accent is rather rare. It is almost certain that the name intended was Akepsimas/Akepsemas. [This is a change of a single letter, psi to lambda, in the Greek: DW.] He was an early Christian hermit in Persia, to whom Theodoretus devotes chapter 15 of the
Philotheus (Historia religiosa); cf. Sozomenus (Salaminius
Hermias),
