For the infinitive see ps.[?]-Mauricius, Strategicon 1.6.3; for the present participle Constantine Porphyrogenitus, De administrando imperio 51.61. The verb used for the gloss is even more rare and occurs only in lexicography and astronomical texts (with the meaning 'act like a planet').
