Χορός: τὸ σύστημα τῶν ἐν ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις ᾀδόντων. διῃρέθησαν δὲ οἱ χοροὶ τῶν ἐκκλησιῶν εἰς δύο μέρη ἐπὶ Κωνσταντίου τοῦ υἱοῦ Κωνσταντίνου τοῦ μεγάλου καὶ Φλαβιανοῦ, ἐπισκόπου Ἀντιοχείας, διχῆ τοὺς Δαυιτικοὺς ψαλμοὺς ᾄδοντες. ὅπερ ἐν Ἀντιοχείᾳ πρῶτον ἀρξάμενον εἰς πάντα περιῆλθε τῆς οἰκουμένης τὰ πέρατα.
