Timostratus (sic) fr.2 Kock. The Suda manuscripts have "Demostratus" (an author unattested in Greek literature), but Meineke proposed "
Timostratus" which accords with the attribution of the quoted text. As to that text, the Suda appears to give the accusative case of
Δημοποίητας ("public poet"?), but this is probably to be taken as a play-title and should therefore be in the dative. Kuster in his Suda edition read
Δημοποιήτῳ , translated here. This part of the entry =
