The primary headword is found both as the singular of Dorians and also as a proper name in its own right. See e.g. King Kleomenes' half-brother in
Herodotus 5.40ff (Poralla/Bradford no.252) and the Diagorid D. of
Ialysos (
Thucydides 8.35ff). Note also Harpokration s.v., where the two-word gloss is "name of a pankratiast"; this is evidently the Rhodian mentioned in
Pausanias 6.7.1.
