Sophocles, Electra 289-90, with the gloss of the scholia there; cf. also the scholia to Aeschylus, Choephoroi 525.
The headword adjective occurs in Aeschylus as well as Sophocles (but not in Euripides). Although it is a term of religious characteristics, we do not find it in Christian literature and it occurs only in 12th-century poetry (Theodorus Prodromus and Constantinus Manasses).
