Δακτύλιος: ἡ σφραγίς. ὁ δὲ Ἀννίβας ὁ Καρχηδονίων στρατηγός, Μαρκέλλου τοῦ ὑπάτου ἀποθανόντος, ἐπιστὰς τῷ σώματι αὐτοῦ, ὡς εἶδε τὰ τραύματα πάντα ἐπὶ τοῦ στέρνου, ἐπῄνεσε μὲν ὡς στρατιώτην, ἐπέσκωψε δὲ ὡς στρατηγόν: καὶ τὸν δακτύλιον αὐτοῦ περιελὼν ἐτύπωσεν ἐπιστολήν. σούκινοι καὶ ἐλεφάντινοι δακτύλιοι γυναιξίν εἰσι σύμφοροι.
