Greek Original:Δάτος, πόλις Θρᾴκης, σφόδρα εὐδαίμων. ἀφ' ἧς καὶ ἡ παροιμία: Δατὸς ἀγαθῶν. ταύτην δὲ τὴν πόλιν καὶ τὴν παρακειμένην χώραν καὶ θηλυκῶς καὶ ἀρσενικῶς ὀνομάζουσιν.
