Ἐπίκωμος: ὑβριστής, συγχαίρων. ταῦτα δὲ ἀχρεῖα τυγχάνειν ἔδοξεν, ὡς περιττὸς ἐπίκωμος. ὁ Προκόπιός φησι περὶ Θεοδοσίου βασιλέως.
