Vetting Status: low
Translation:
With preparation.[1] But ἐτύμως [meaning] truly [is written] with upsilon and smooth breathing.[2]
Greek Original:
Ἑτοίμως: ἐμπαρασκεύως. Ἐτύμως δὲ ἀληθῶς. διὰ τοῦ υ ψιλοῦ καὶ ψιλοῦται.
Notes:
{1] Adverb from the adjective ἕτοιμος (epsilon 3338).
[2] (For this equivalance cf. epsilon 3340.) These two adverbs had come to be pronounced alike. Note that the Suda alphabetizes omicroniota and upsilon together, indicating that they sounded the same. And all initial aspiration had been lost long before Byzantine times.
