Headword:
Εὐηρότατον
Adler number: epsilon,3479
Translated headword: most easily plowed, very easily plowed
Vetting Status: low
Translation: That which has good land, the beauteousness of the land.
Greek Original:Εὐηρότατον: τὸ καλὴν ἔχον γῆν, τὸ κάλλιμον τῆς γῆς.
Notes:
The headword is the neuter singular nominative/accusative superlative form of the adjective (for the positive form see
epsilon 3480), glossed with two substantive phrases. But the word occurs only in lexicography (here and in
Hesychius). Richard Bentley (1662-1742) says that the superlative should be
εὐηροτώτατον , but also that if the correction were made the entry would be out of alphabetical order.
For 'beauteousness' cf.
kappa 230.
