Adler number: epsilon,393
Translated headword: to have been settled by an arbitrator; to have had one's way of life changed
Vetting Status: low
Translation:
To have been sold off.
Greek Original:
Ἐκδιαιτηθῆναι: διαπραθῆναι.
Notes:
Aorist passive infinitive of ἐκδιαιτάω ; cf. generally delta 886 etc. Evidently quoted from somewhere: probably 4 Maccabees 18.5. (NB: some other lexica have the same glossing verb as here, but others still occur elsewhere, e.g. Hesychius s.v. -- where editors make the Septuagint connection -- has διαστραφῆναι , "to have been twisted".)
cf. epsilon 394, epsilon 1591.
Keywords: daily life; definition; dialects, grammar, and etymology; economics; law; religion
