[1] Present participle, masculine nominative singular, of the verb ἐκκλησιάζω , presumably from the quotation given. Both the gloss and the quotation itself indicate that this is the transitive sense of the verb (II in LSJ s.v.). The intransitive sense is most famously illustrated by Aristophanes' comedy Ekklesiazousai.
