Headword: Ἠγγέλη
Adler number: eta,35
Translated headword: was announced
Vetting Status: low
Translation:
Was reported.
Greek Original:
Ἠγγέλη: ἀπηγγέλη.
Notes:
The headword is the aorist second passive of ἀγγέλλω ”I announce”, and it is glossed by a compound verb with a very similar meaning.
The entry is considered by Adler to be from Lexicon Ambrosianum, but there are differences: Laurentianus 59.16 folium 187v has Ἠγγέλη: ἠγγελθη , i.e. the headword verb is glossed with the aorist first passive of the same (commoner) verb. Note that this is also the gloss in one of the Suda mss, the Vossianus (V).
