Although without iota subscript, the headword verb must be considered the aorist passive (third person singular) of αἰδεόμαι (I fear) and not of ἔδω (I eat), because of this gloss which recommends its use with the accusative; cf. Lexica syntactica (J.A.Cramer), eta293.
