This entry was considered by Adler to be from the Lexicon Ambrosianum even though it occurs neither in Ambrosianus B12 sup. nor in Laurentianus 59.16.
The headword verb is pluperfect (3rd person plural) of οἶδα (see eta 78).
Hesychius, Lexicon eta110 and in Glossarium Cyrilli (Vallicellianus E11 fol. 98r) have: ᾔδεσαν: ἠπίσταντο, ἐγίνωσκον , “they knew: they were acquainted , they perceived”. See also eta 82 and eta 84.
