Another [Iamblichus],[1] from Chalcis in Syria, philosopher, student of the philosopher Porphyry, [himself] a student of Plotinus,[2] lived in the time of the emperor Constantine.[3] He wrote diverse philosophical books.

Ἰάμβλιχος ἕτερος, Χαλκίδος τῆς Συρίας, φιλόσοφος, μαθητὴς Πορφυρίου τοῦ φιλοσόφου, τοῦ Πλωτίνου, γεγονὼς κατὰ τοὺς χρόνους Κωνσταντίνου τοῦ βασιλέως. ἔγραψε βιβλία φιλόσοφα διάφορα.
