Ἰβύκινον: μουσικὸν ὄργανον, ἀπὸ Ἰβύκου. ὅτι κατὰ τὴν συμπλοκὴν τῶν Κελτῶν πρὸς Ῥωμαίους ἀναρίθμητον ἦν τὸ τῶν ἰβυκανητῶν καὶ σαλπιγκτῶν πλῆθος. οἷς ἅμα τοῦ παντὸς στρατοπέδου παιανίζοντος κραυγὴ ἦν συμμιγὴς ὡς καὶ τοὺς παρακειμένους τόπους ἠχεῖν καὶ δοκεῖν προί̈εσθαι φωνὴν ἐκπληκτικήν.
