Adler number: kappa,1289
Translated headword: cup, pan
Vetting Status: low

A mussel,[1] or basin, or the kind of vessel in which one can wash one's feet. "[Someone] poured out a jar, and then drew, mixed, another [sc. measure]."[2]
Notes:
[1] Either literally so or perhaps a shallow receptacle like the present-day saucer. See generally LSJ s.v.
[2] Callimachus, Hecale fr.246 (with comment from the scholia there); the second half of the line reappears at kappa 1372. The Suda's κελέβη , nominative, needs to be accusative (the iota subscript in the online text is not in Adler).
