Headword: Κακηγορῶ
Adler number: kappa,148
Translated headword: I slander
Vetting Status: low
Translation:
With accusative. Also [sc. attested is] κακημορῶ ["?I make with difficulty?"][1]; with accusative.
Greek Original:
Κακηγορῶ: αἰτιατικῇ. καὶ Κακημορῶ: αἰτιατικῇ.
Note:
[1] This verb is attested only here. It seems to have been formed from κακός and μορέω , which LSJ defines as "to make with pain and toil". The fact that we have the form κακημορέω where κακομορέω would be expected is probably a result of analogy to forms in κακη- like the headword of this entry. Manuscripts G and I of the Suda have κακημανῶ , a form which is no easier to explain.
