Κηδεύειν: φροντίζειν, ἢ θάπτειν. Αἰλιανός: καὶ ἄλλως αὐτοῦ παλλακίδι ἐπιμανείς, ὡς ἤδη θεραπαίνῃ, τὸν ἄθλιον ἐν νεκροῖς ἠρίθμουν. καὶ οἵγε κηδόμενοι τοῦ ἀνδρὸς ὠδύροντό τε αὐτὸν καὶ θεοὺς ἐκάλουν συμμάχους καὶ πρὸ πάντων Σάραπιν.
