Καδμεία νίκη: ἀποδιδόασι τὴν ἐπὶ τῆς ἀλυσιτελοῦς νίκης: ἐπεὶ Ἐτεοκλῆς καὶ Πολυνείκης μονομαχήσαντες ἀμφότεροι ἀπώλοντο. ἕτεροι δέ φασιν αὐτὴν λέγεσθαι ἐπὶ τῶν νικώντων μὲν τοὺς πολεμίους, πλείονας δὲ τῶν οἰκείων ἀποβαλλόντων.
