Greek Original:Κλοιός: περιτραχήλιος δεσμός. ἐν Ἐπιγράμμασι: ὡς δ' ἴδ' ὁμοίην εἰκόνα, παντοίῳ σχήματι φαινομένην, κλοιὸν ἔχων πέλας ἦλθε, λέγων Λευκῶνι, κελεύειν τῷ κυνὶ καὶ βαίνειν: πεῖθε γὰρ ὡς ὑλάων.

[1] Greek Anthology 6.175.3-6 (here mis-stressing the name Λεύκωνι ): "The dog, an expert in all fierce hunts, was sculpted by Leukon, and dedicated by Alkimenes. Alkimenes could not find anything to fault. But when he saw..."
