Κρημνώδη κατανίφει: εἰ μὲν διὰ τοῦ η ἀντὶ τοῦ μεγάλα, εἰ δὲ διὰ τοῦ ι κρίμνα εἶδος ἀλεύρου, ἐξ οὗ ἡ παιπάλη γίνεται, τουτέστι τὸ ἄλευρον: καὶ τὸ λευκαίνειν παλύνειν. Ὅμηρος: ὅτε πέρ τε χιὼν ἐπάλυνεν ἀρούρας.
