Headword: Κρίκε
Adler number: kappa,2419
Translated headword: creaked
Vetting Status: low
Translation:
[He/she/it] was gripped.
Greek Original:
Κρίκε: συνεσχέθη.
Notes:
The headword is probably quoted from Homer, Iliad 16.470 (web address 1). The gloss (also in ps-Zonaras s.v., and Adler cites Ambrosian Lexicon 1703) is not that of the scholia there, but it looks like a guess that someone might have made on the basis of that verse.
Κρίκε is an isolated second aorist (3rd person singular, unaugmented) of the onomatopoetic verb κρίζω .
