Thuc. 2.18.5, on the Spartans at Oinoe in 431 BCE (web address 1). The gloss was evidently thought necessary because the headword καθέδρα has several other meanings; and the gloss is less a genuine synonym than a reminder (via a noun used earlier in the chapter) of what the siege had brought about.
