The headword adjective is similarly glossed in Photius, Lexicon Lambda207.1 and in the Lexica Segueriana (Anonymus Antatticista 106.6) -- the latter adding the crucial fact that it is cited from a fragment of Attic Comedy: Araros [see alpha 3737] fr.15 Kock.
In a later era it reappears as an occasional synonym for that common adjective of the encomiastic genre used here to define it.
