He says [this] in the Hebrew language, meaning "Our Lord has come." He says this to confirm the message of [God's] dispensation, as if he said, "The Lord of us all has so greatly condescended to come down, and you are remaining in the same sins and do not feel awe at his extreme love, which is the summit of all loves. Consider this only," he says, "and it will suffice for your success in every virtue, and you will be able to quench every sin."
