The headword, an adjective in the accusative case (masculine, neuter) or nominative case (neuter), is otherwise unattested, and Bernhardy reasonably took it to be a faulty version of νάϊον . If so, it is either -- as assumed here -- νάϊος , the Doric form of νήϊος , or Νάϊος , an epithet of Zeus at Dodona.
