Notes:
The headword participle occurs here and in other lexica in the nominative plural, but the ultimate source is evidently Thucydides 8.79.3, where it is accusative plural (web address 1).
The verb ναυμαχησείω is a desiderative formation from ναυμαχέω (nu 65).
