Note:
Adler tentatively ascribed this entry to the "Proverbia" (see the introduction to Adler's edition, vol. I, p. XIX, for a brief explanation of their sources); and in fact it occurs in one of the late paroemiographic collections -- Arsenius, Apophthegms 18.57f -- with the gloss "in reference to those who are angry."
