Translated headword: Og
Vetting Status: low
Translation: [Og], king of Bashan,[1] and Sihon, king of the Amorites,[2] were proud of their authority. Because of the size of his body, Og used an iron bed, which was 9 cubits long and 5 cubits wide.[3] The king of Bashan is called Og, that is "partition," because his deeds of shame blocked off the way of our salvation. The Lord will slay him for the freedom of those who are being conquered.
