An epic variant of ὁμοῖος . Cf. scholion on Homer, Iliad 4.315, where the adjective is applied to old age (web address 1). Eustathius cites Apion and Herodoros as saying that the "glossographoi" assert that ὁμοίϊος with diaeresis is used for bad things (Commentary on the Iliad, on this verse).
