Ὁ ἐν Τεμέσῃ ἥρως: ὅταν τις ἀπαιτῶν τι μᾶλλον προσοφείλων εὑρεθῇ, τότε λέγεται ὁ ἐν Τεμέσῃ ἥρως.
Note:
For "the hero at Temesa" see already under epsilon 3510; also (e.g.) Strabo 6.1.5; Aelian, Varia Historia 8.18. Temesa, in the toe-end of Italy, had a shrine in honour of the hero Polites (or Alybas), friend of Odysseus. His presence there was considered malign and the locals collected tribute for him until (in the early C5 BCE) the Olympic boxer Euthymos put a stop to this.
