Ὀφειλέτης: χρεώστης. Σοφοκλῆς: κάτοισθ' ὡς ἐγὼ θεοῖς οὐδὲν ἀρκεῖν εἰμ' ὀφειλέτης ἔτι. τουτέστιν οὐκέτι ἐν τούτῳ εἰμὶ ὥστε ὀφείλειν τοὺς θεοὺς ἐπαρκεῖν μοι, διὰ τὸ μὴ περιέχεσθαι τοῦ ζῆν.
