Οἱ Κρῆτες τὴν θυσίαν: παροιμία. εἴ ποτε ταραχώδης θυσία γένηται, Κρητικὴ καλεῖται, παρόσον Ἀγαμέμνων ἐκεῖσε χειμασθεὶς ἔθυεν, ἀναβὰς εἰς τὸ Πολύρρηνον. ἐν τούτῳ δὲ οἱ αἰχμάλωτοι τὰς ναῦς ἐνέπρησαν. ὁ δ' ὡς ἤκουσε, καταλιπὼν τὰς θυσίας ἦλθεν εἰς τὸν αἰγιαλὸν καὶ μίαν εὑρὼν ναῦν ἀνήχθη εἰς αὐτήν, τοὺς ἐγχωρίους ἐπαρασάμενος.
