The headword, present participle (feminine nominative singular) of the verb φαληριάω , is evidently quoted from somewhere. It is attested only here and, according to Adler, in a parallel entry in the Ambrosian Lexicon (68), but cf. the neuter plural (of waves) in Homer, Iliad 13.799 (web address 1). The import of the present gloss is unclear.
